The Orëlla Guide

Discover how to get the most from your Orëlla candle
- From the first burn to the final glow-

01 - The First Burn

The most important burn

The first burn is an important part of your candle's lifetime.

Allow the wax to melt sufficiently across the surface before extinguishing your candle. This helps establish an even melt pool and reduces the risk of tunneling.

For the best experience, always allow the candle to burn for a suitable amount of time rather than extinguishing it too soon.

02 - Trim your wick

A clean flame burns better

Before each burn, make sure your wick is clean and trimmed to the recommended length.

Removing any excess or charred material helps maintain a steady flame and a cleaner burn.

A wick that is too long can result in a larger flame and increased soot.

03 - Burn time

Slow moments, not endless ones

Candles are made to be enjoyed slowly.

Never leave your candle burning unattended and always allow the wax to cool before moving your candle.

For the best performance and safety we recommend following the maximum burning time of 4 hours.

04 - Where to place it

Give your candle some space

Place your Orëlla candle in a stable, heat-resistant surface, away from drafts, direct sunlight and anything that could catch fire.

A calm, undisturbed environment allows the candle to burn more evenly and beautifully.

05 - When yo're done

Let it rest

Once extinguished, allow the wax to cool and solidify completely before moving your candle.

Never move a Orëlla candle while the wax is still liquid.

06 - Your vessel, Reimagined

More than a candle

When your candle has reached the end of its life, the story of your Orëlla candle does not have to end here.

Once properly cleaned, your handmade Jesmonite vessel can be given a second life as a small decorative object - for jewellery, matches, keepsakes or other everyday treasures. We recommend not to store food.

Each vessel is made to remain part of your space long after the final glow.
